The Nigeria Malaria Indicator Survey (MIS) 2015 is part of phase 7 of the Demographic and Health Survey series. The survey was designed to provide information on the knowledge and practice of malaria prevention in Nigeria.
It is a first survey conducted in the 36 states of the country aimed at assessing the nutritional and health status of children under 5 years of age and of women in the reproductive age group (15-49 years) at a national level.
The 2013 Nigeria Demographic and Health Survey was a nationally representative survey with the aim of gathering information in the areas of fertility, family planning, infant and child mortality, maternal care, vaccination status, breastfeeding, and nutrition.
The Nigeria MICS was conducted as part of Round 1 of the survey series. Topics covered include child health and mortality, nutrition, sanitation, reproductive health, education, child protection, and HIV/AIDS
